I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

1st Day of School

5th Grade fashionista. We had to do a full body shot to get the shoes in. Her teacher is Miss Angus, who is a brand new teacher from Michigan.

4th grade and too cool for school. He wouldn't even let me walk him to his class. His teacher is Mrs Romero.

1st grade and ready for lunch. The whole first week of school when his dad would ask what was the best part of the day, he would say "Lunch!" His teacher is Miss Eberhard.

He's waited his whole life for preschool. I have taught preschool since before he was born so he is way excited for his turn. Miss Amy is his teacher; )

Lola's Place

My Grandpa Sitterud owns some property at Upper Joes Valley that he calls Lola's Place and every summer my brothers and sisters and I try to get our families together and go camping. This year most of us didn't camp, but we all made it up for the day on Sat for a fun little reunion and get together. I didn't take too many pictures, but we had fun riding 4 wheelers (Bruce even got me to drive one) having a delicious meal and just catching up.
It is always fun for all the cousins to get together. It is not fun trying to get them all to look at the camera.

There are 10 grandkids on the Larsen side and 5 of them belong to me!
We also had a little party for Cambree since this was 2 days after her birthday. I made a cake and brought it up and Grandma Debbie had a present for her to open. It is a new baby doll and she loves it to pieces.

I love my family and am grateful we were able to have a fun day together. Sorry that Merrill and Jason ha to miss it, but we still love them anyways.
