I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

Cambree is 1 Month

So my baby is now one month old, so here are some new pics so you can see how much she has grown!

This pic is actually a few weeks ago when Grandpa and Grandma Guymon stopped by for a visit on their way home from Logan.

She is already getting so big. We are going to have her blessing on Oct 11.

We Miss You Dave!

Mother of the Year

So this week I don't get to be the mother of the year. Wednesday night we were at Tyson's soccer game. Bruce is the coach, which leaves me responsible for 4 of the 5 kids. Well, Brennen decided he wants to run over the hill. Not a big deal, I'll go grab him. The problem is, Aubree and Kaden were off playing somewhere, so I can't leave the baby all alone. So I grabbed Cambree and took off after him. I caught up to him and grabbed him by the hand, and as I did that he sat down, because he didn't want ot go with me. Well he started screaming. He sat on my lap for the rest of the game and would scream whenever his arm moved. So after the game Bruce took the rest of the kids and I home and took Brennen up to the night clinic. After a to hour wait, they finally got in to see the doctor and found that his elbow was dislocated. Yeah, I dislocated his elbow. The doctor popped it back into place, and he has been fine ever since, but I felt horrible! I cried the whole night because I felt like the worst mother ever. I know it was an accident, but it sucks to see your baby in pain and know that you caused that pain. Luckily, kids are very forgiving and after giving him a bowl of Cocoa Puffs for dinner that night, he loves me again.

Cambree at 2 weeks

I took Cambree for her 2 week check up today. She now weighs 8 ibs 9 oz and has also grown a half an inch. She is starting to fill out. She is healthy healthy healthy. She is such a good baby, hardly ever cries unless she's hungry and sleeps really well. Here are some more pictures, because I can't get enough of her!

1st Day of School

Another new school year is upon us. I can't believe how big my kids are getting! Aubree is in 4th grade this year, which means a new school. They call it Middle School, but it is an upper elementary for grades 4, 5, and 6. She has a man teacher this year, but he is a great teacher, so we were really excited for her to be in Mr Murphy's class.

Kaden is in 3rd grade this year in Ms Jacobson's class. He is most excited because his best friend is in his class again. He is about the tallest kid in the school, too.

Tyson started Kindergarten this year, which is a big adjustment for me. you would think by the 3rd child, I wouldn't get so emotional, but it is so hard to see them grow up and not need me as much anymore. His teacher is Mrs Riser, which is who Kaden had, so I know she will be great!

My afternoons are so quiet now, with three kids at school and Brennen and Cambree napping. I don't quite know what to do yet. Brennen just wanted his picture taken like everyone else, and it turned out pretty cute.
