I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

May Happenings

So May has been a CRAZY month in Guymon land. We have so much going on along with adjusting to Bruce as the bishop. But it has been all good and we made it through the month.

First, Kaden earned his wolf badge. He has worked so hard and he has really loved scouts. I have really enjoyed being his scout leader and getting to have that special time with him.

Pack Meeting was also Space Derby, so that was a lot of fun. It was the first time our Pack has ever done SPace Derby, and hopefully it won't be the last. Kaden's rocket is the one that is in the lead.

Kaden had his last Musical Mustangs program. The program was called "We're Nuts" and Kaden played a walnut/walnut tree. It was a cute program about where trees come from and how they grow.

Aubree had her ballet recital. They did a story called Pezzitino. It was a beautiful program. Aubree was one of the swimming ones, and also one of the flying ones. She looks so beautiful when she dances, I always get a little chocked up. She has a wonderful ballet teacher who we just adore! I am so glad we found her, because Aubree's favorite thing in the world now is ballet. She hopes to eventually dance on pointe.

Kaden played spring soccer this year instead of baseball. It was a lot more fun for him I think. He is not a naturally competitive person, and baseball has gotten to intense for him. Soccer has been a lot more fun, and he has really learned a lot the past few years and has improved so much!

Tyson plays Tball and he loves it so much. He has some fun coaches this year. He is one of the bigger kids on the team and loves that he gets to play 1st base a lot. He is great at throwing and catching, and his hitting is getting a lot better.

Cambree and Brennen have just been along for the ride. They have made it through so many programs and ball games, most of them without dad. I am so grateful that they are such good kids and put up with it all.
