I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

Larsen Reunion

The second weekend in Aug brings the Delyle Larsen family reunion. This year Grandpa turned 85! I love him and my Grandma so much, and am so glad at the role they have played in my life.
It is always a fun time to catch up with aunts, uncles, and cousins and see how much everyone's kids have grown. The kids have a great time playing games too.
Cambree and mom hanging out and visiting.

Brennen playing the doughnut game. He kept forgetting he wasn't supposed to use his hands.

Tyson eagerly awaiting the water balloons.

Ice blocking. Kaden waits all year for the Larsen reunion so he can go ice blocking!

Aubree's favorite game is now M&Ms and straws. They played it at activity days and she wasn't very good at it, so she came home and practiced and preacticed until she got really good at it. It was a good lesson for her too, that you don't have to be the best the first time you try, that practicing pays off.

Thanks Aunt Dana and Uncle Kerry and family for a fun day!
