I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

Easter 2009

OK, so Easter was a while ago, but I finally have my computer back, so here are the pics from Easter weekend. We went to Orangeville as usual to spend the weekend with Grandpa Rick and Grandma Debbie. It ended up raining most of the day on Saturday, so we had lunch at the house and then when there was a break in the weather, we drove down to the San Rafael for the traditional Easter Egg Roll. For those of you not from Emery County, we take our Easter eggs and roll them down a hill on the desert til they break. Yes, it is a little goofy, but is so fun. In our family, it always turns ino an egg war, thanks to my Grandma Sitterud who started that. It was pretty cold, but the kids had a blast! (and now Jeff, you are on my blog!)
