I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

Summer Fun

I'm trying to be a good mom this year and do something "fun" with my kids every day. Most of the time it has just been stuff like going to the pool or the library, or getting out the slip and slide. I need to do better at taking pictures though. We did go over to Vernal to the Dinosaur museum. We happened to go on the day they were redoing the coat on the Mammoth which was pretty cool. Also, when we were at the gift shop, Kaden got to meet the head Paleontologist, which is like Rock Star status to him. I thought it was neat that he took the time to talk to Kaden and answer some of his questions.

This is our Flag Day craft that we made. They turned out pretty cute and the kids had a ton of fun making them.
