I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

Pigtails, Program, and Pinewood Derby

Here are some of the fun things we had going on in January.

Cambree's hair finally has grown long enough to do a little pony tail. She is so stinkin cute and just growing up way to fast!

Tyson had his 1st grade program. The theme was Winter Wonderland and each class did a different Winter theme. Tyson's class were penguins and they were dang spankin cute too!!! They said a little poem about penguins and then they did a penguin dance. There was a part in the song that talked about slipping and sliding on the ice, and Tyson was hillarious doing a little pratfall every time. He is a little comedian.

Kaden had Pinewood Derby in January. He made his car look like Bumblebee from Transformers. He and Bruce took what they learned last year and applied it to this year's car and he ended up taking 2nd place over all!!! It was my first pack meeting as cubmaster, so I was very nervous but I think everyone had a good time. I'm grateful for our Bishopric and all they did to help. I guess being married to the Bishop can have it's advantages!
