I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want there to be a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.

Surprise!!!!


Ok, so maybe a lot of you have already figured it out, but we are expecting another little one. We were totally surprised, because we thought we were done having kids. I guess Heavenly Father knows better, because despite everything, I am pregnant again! We found out rightt after Christmas, and have just been waiting to see the Dr to make sure everything looks OK. Our due date is Aug 30, and we are really hoping for another girl, but we know we will love this little one no matter what! This is what I mean about God throwing a wrench into things. He knows better than we do, so plans don't always work out. We are really excited though.

    Congratulations on the new little one. Heavenly Father has a way of challenging us sometimes. That is so exciting for you. I would love another one now that mine are bigger.

    So when I saw this on your blog i decided it was safe to tell macie. She said is it a boy or girl and i said they dont know yet and she said i bet its a girl! So hey that is a good sign right?
